Ok...this page will now be a RK description page for those of you that are questioning why I'm so obsessed...Thank you and as always, comments are welcome thru Email.

RK is an abbreviation for Japanese Manga/Anime series Rurouni Kenshin, drawn by Watsuki Nobuhiro. (Rurouni means wanderer in Japanese) It is the story of a man named Himura Kenshin (Himura Shinta), who was once the Hitokiri Battousai. The Hitokiri Battousai was a merciless killer/assassin, using his Hiten Mitsurugiryu to slay millions to bring about the Meiji Era, when the story takes place. He was part of the Ishinishi, who were the Pro-Meiji people at the time. They fought against the Shinshengumi, the supporters of the current goverment. The story begins when Himura Kenshin appears in a small town 10 years after the Meiji Era, becoming a rurouni and quitting his past as the hitokiri. After becoming a rurouni, Kenshin vowed never to kill again, and thus uses a sakaba sword, one with a reversed blade so he doesn't kill anyone ever again.

Arriving in the small town Kenshin meets Kamiya Kaoru, the adjutant kenjutsu master of the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu School. The story expands as Kenshin settles in with Kaoru and meet many new characters. The story is separated in a few parts. There is the beginning, the Kyoto Arc, and the Revenge Arc. Other main characters in this series are Myoujin Yahiko, Sagara Sanosuke, and Takani Megumi. And of course there's Shinomori-san. And that's Kenshin on the top and Kaoru to the right. I really recommend the series. It is beautifully drawn and has a great story line. If you want information, you can go to some of the pages listed in my links section. Either that or you can Email me. I'm always happy to convert another to the RK faith. ^_^
